BEST BEACHES IN GOA
Goa is known as a tourist destination and is visited by a lot of people from across the globe. It is a small state with a big coastline and is also known as the land of beaches. It has been host to some of the most happening parties for two consecutive years. Most tourists visit Goa for its beaches, white sands and a chance to relax and be away from the noise of cities. Since the entire state is touching the sea on the west, there are more than a couple of beaches that line it up.

CALANGUTE BEACH
This beach is surrounded by coconut trees and always has a lot happening all the time. Souza Lobo, the famous restaurant is located here, allowing tourists the chance to enjoy all Goa’s delicacies. After sunset, there is live music for visitors to dance the night away. Besides, restaurants, there are shacks all along the beach.
For a person who looking for some peace and quiet, Calangute is not the place to visit. This beach offers all kinds of watersports and activities like boat rides, scooter rides, paragliding and windsurfing. There are souvenir stalls throughout the place as well, tourists can always pick an ‘I love GOA’ t shirt to take back home.
AGONDA BEACH
Agonda Beach is located to the south of Goa. It is sometimes referred to as the Virgin beach as it has not been trampled by many feet. People looking for peace and quiet usually travel down South to visit this beach. People who love to meditate usually visit this beach since there are a lot of yoga and meditation activities taking place here. The sands here are clean and there are stalls offering boat rides out to sea to catch a glimpse of the dolphins.
Olive Ridley Turtles come to this beach for nesting at some time of the year. One can rent a tent and camp on the shores to gaze at the stars as well.
BENAULIM BEACH
Benaulim is one of the nicest beaches in South Goa with some lovely shacks. It is an ideal beach for tourists looking for peace and serenity. It has silvery sands and comfortable accommodation all over the area and out in the distance. People holidaying on the beach usually try the water sports, jet skiing, parasailing, snorkeling and windsurfing.
MANDREM BEACH
Mandrem is a scenic beach sandwiched between Arambol and Ashvem beaches located to the north of Goa. For beach bums, Mandrem is a dream come true. Tourists have very often spotted Olive Ridley turtles in Mandrem. Most of the accommodation is right on the beach in Mandrem. The beach looks beautiful during high tide when the water flows into the creek. The beach is also known for its colourful sunset.
BAGA BEACH
Baga beach is one of the popular beaches of North Goa North of the Calangute Beach. The beach provides an ideal place to see beautiful sunsets. Baga is famous for its nightlife scene and some of the famous clubs like Tito’s and Mambo’s are located here. There are spas, sun-decks and shacks and music that come to life toward the evening.
After going through all the beaches around, the reason behind the holiday should be taken into consideration. If searching for some rest and relaxation, the quieter ones make sense, if activities and dances are more suited, the beaches with the clubs would be a better location.
